Snow Shoot
Feb 1st

It snowed in Nashville. Let me stress, in the past 20 or so years people I know have lived here, it has never snowed as much as it did this weekend. I got stir crazy the second day, and suggested a photoshoot in the snow in lingerie and high heels would be fun. Lucky for me, Chad McClarnon, a local photographer, saw my tweet and was in the same mood. Yay for Twitter! Chilly, yes, but also steamy.
Here are a few of the goods. All photos Chad McClarnon:

gloves: vintage
sheer kimono: bought at boutique in South Africa
skivvies: Gilligan and O’Malley for Target
faux fur coat: vintage
dress: TJ Maxx

Creative Challenge – Paper Clothesline
Jun 23rd

all photos courtesy of Kris D’Amico Photography
I’ve had my own creative challenge this week. I spent all day yesterday printing, cutting and staining the invitations for the wedding.
I’ll have some better photos of the actual design up once we’ve assembled them, but they were masterfully crafted by my sister-in-law, designer Lynn D’Amico. She’s currently accepting freelance assignments and is amazingly flexible as far as ideas and designs go.

Hallow’s Eve Eve
Oct 31st

This is what happens when you buy a tutu and drink wine alone
Since we only get one day to dress up, I decided to buck the trend and just dress up all week. They’re definitely more subdued outfits than “costumes” but people in my office think I’m in costume all the time anyway.
This isn’t a fashion blog and I don’t intend for it to become so. There are several amazing bloggers out there who do a much better job than I would. But I do think that your appearance and style can positively or negatively affect your workflow, your overall confidence, and your creativity. So occasionally I’ll post some outfits of my own if I’m feeling particularly pretty or strange.
Indulge in my narcissism with me for a moment; ignore how blurry and fuzzy I look please:

Wednesday’s outfit was sort of a Margot Tennebaum, Marchass Luisa Casati kind of day. Basically I just wanted an excuse to wear my giant faux fur coat and peacock tights.
Shoes: T.J. Maxx
Tights: Joy of Socks
Skirt: T.J. Maxx
Shirt: Old Navy ($4!)
Cardigan: Forever 21
Coat: Thrifted
Moustache necklace (!!): Etsy

Thursday’s outfit was geisha inspired, but unfortunately my geta broke, so I had to improvise.
Shoes: T.J. Maxx
Tights: H&M
Dress: T.J. Maxx
Shirt: Scar boutique in Cape Town, RSA
Chipped nails: me!
What are you dressing up as? Send me photo links! I’ll put up my costume later today.
